Reverend  Paul Murray has been preaching since 1992  and has been the Pastor of New St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church  since August of 1995.  Pastor Murray is a native of Mansura, Louisiana. He studied at New Orleans Theological seminary school where he earned Associates in Theology in. As an educator and preacher of God’s word Pastor Murray is known for his traditional baptist preaching. Pastor Murray's passion is to serve and lead in his community. He has been a member of the East Ascension Minister's Alliance and has served as a president on their board. Pastor Murray has continuously seeked knowledge and understanding of God’s word and his ministry, he attends the National Baptist Convention for the past 24 years where he has received a numerous number of certificates. Pastor Murray loves to fellowship with churches near and far. He has traveled for the past 20 years to Chicago Illinois to fellowship with The Old Friendship Baptist church Pastored by the late Reverend Keith Burgess. Not only does he serve as the Pastor of a church but he also serves at the Senior Chaplain of Elayn Hunt Correctional Facility where he has worked for the past 17 years.  Pastor Murray is a husband to his wife, First Lady Debra Murray. He is a father to his 8 children and grandfather to his 15 grandchildren. In his spare time he loves to horseback ride, watching television, and  enjoy good southern meals.
